Foreign Ofice, November 3, 1910. OPIUM. I have consulted the India Office with regard to your telegrain No. 175 of the 27th October.
You are correct in your presumption with regard to Chinese official, and you may, if necessary, act upon Sir A. Tosie's suggestion. This Majesty's Government concur in your view that it is not desirable to include such a clause as that mentioned in the last paragraph of your telegram.
